Wood veneers
A wood veneer is a thin layer of real timber on a stable board, so you get real grain and warmth without the movement of solid wood. We offer two kinds: Shinnoki prefinished veneers, which arrive sealed and ready, and Italian tinted veneers, where a translucent colour lets the natural grain show through.

Is veneer as good as solid timber?
For cabinetry, often better. Veneer on a stable board doesn't twist or split like solid timber can, and the grain can be matched across panels.
Does veneer fade?
Timber changes colour with sunlight over time, like all real wood. UV-resistant finishes slow it down. Mention sunny spots when you choose.
Does veneer cost more?
Yes. Veneer is our most expensive finish, because every panel is faced with real timber. Your quote shows the difference for your kitchen or wardrobe.
